Holy Holy Holy

holy holy holy
seraphim's call
lasting always
they always obey

holy holy holy
knows the stars by name
created every lion's mane

holy holy holy
takes care for the lilies
even the winds are held at bay

holy holy holy
never leaving nor forsaking
yes he's always there
he really is everywhere
knows every hair on your head
knows wherever you lay to bed
even cares the trees
but are we not much better than these?

the holy holy holy
he knows our every need
even before we say please
just call on his name
it will give you no shame

he loves you very much you know
he will make you whiter,
yes much whiter than snow

On A Mountain Top

On a mountain top I stand
ready and willing for my wings to expand
but something here holds me back.
So here I stand putting on an act.

On a mountain to I stand
looking at the world below
at all the hills and valleys.
From every high to every low.
Birds pass over me, their wings whisper
oh they whisper-and I want to adhere!
They beckon me saying "Join us up here!"
but alas I stay right here.
For something holds me back
and so here I am
still I am looking back.

On a mountain top I stand
looking in the air
and oh how I wish to be up there!
Up where the air is sweet,
so I can rest my weary feet.
But idle they stay.
So I have no choice,
no choice to listen as the creatures bay.
Creatures looming over me threatening me.
And oh how I wish to flee!
Flee, flee from it all.
Flee form all the blood and gall!
But here, right here I stay
never to obey
the beckoning calls I here.
No, I will never adhere.

On a mountain to still I stand
waiting ever for my wings to expand.
But firmly planted I will be
because this is where God planted me.
Growing taller will I be
firmly planted as a tree.
No bird, nor fish can persuade me,
because Jesus sowed my seeds.
On fertile ground He planted these.

So on a mountain top I forever stand,
overlooking the great expand.
Changing as the seasons come and go.
Never will I wander to and fro.
Giving shade to those who find,
rest under my leafy vines.
waving goodbye as they take flight.
That is how I will spend my life.
Standing proud and true.
Yes this is what God has called me to do.

Mr. Whipper Will

Mr. whipper will By: Morgan Lawson

Mr. Whipper Will
calling night and day
but no one ever hears
not in our world of coarse
but I know one day you'll find
that lost love your looking for

Mr. Whipper Will
how sorrowful you must be
because no one is listening to your song
no matter how in tune it must be
but you never fear
because the one who wrote it hears
yes he is listening always
and just to show He cares
He has created you something special
yes it's just for you
and and for that you have to bid a due

So Mr. Whipper Will
you say goodbye to us all
yes all of us here below
because you have an escape up high
where you can spread your fly
no it can't be beat
for we are all here on the ground
here with our clumbsy feet

And so Mr. Whipper Will
think of me next time
you take to the skies
yes enjoy your sweet escape
because Mr. Whipper Will
I'll join you
I might even pass you up
then I'll have a sweet escape
but don't worry I wont be greedy
no never fear
join me Mr. Whipper Will
and come fly up here

the seeds

One night i opened my Bible Mark 4:1-20. This passage moved me, it never ceases to amaze me how the Bible really is the living word of God.
OK, so I was reading the parable of the sower, and how that there were three kinds of ground. Stony, thorny, and good ground.
Stony-the seeds fell on the rocks and could not grow roots.
-they immediately sprang up but had no roots.
-the seeds were scorched when the sun was too hot.
I think the practicle application to our life in this passage deals with how deep really do our roots go? Do we have surface roots, and when the heat (a.k.a. trials, tribulation, temptation, ect.) we wither? Or do our roots go deeper than that?
Thorny-the seeds had no room to grow
This one is fairly simple....what thorn is choking your seed? What part of the plant needs and wants to grow but can't because of the thorn you refuse to deal with?
Good-the seed produced fruit
-the seed had deep roots
-lived a long life
-reached its full potential
I think this speaks of how an ideal christian should be. We need to be susceptible to the seed that God is trying to sow. Let him plant a whole garden in your life, who knows what kinds of fruit it will produce. Which brings me to another point...Are we producing fruit? Have we reached our full potential as a christian? Now I know none of us are perfect. I struggle with these myself, but the fact of the matter is we have to till our own ground (which means your spirituality is your responsibility). God never said he would till the ground, all he does is plants the seed. It is up to us to make sure it grows.
There are several times in the Bible God uses the comparison of a seed. This is just one of them. So I think God is trying to tell us something.....He wants us to grow! He wouldn't sow a seed if he didn't want it to grow. And another thing, all plants grow, and position themselves where the sun is....yet another example of how spirituality is your responsibility. Also the plant never complains about what kind of ground it is placed in....it just keeps on growing toward the sun. We can't go through life complaining about the ground we have been given to put our roots in. We need to make the best of it! Find the sunshine (a.k.a. the Lord) and don't take your eyes off of it! Other wise you will wilt and die.
Have a great day:) Love you all!

Dear readers I think I am going to start posting again.....It has been almost two years since I last posted. Going back and reading some of my post really surprised me. I had no idea how much
God was showing me back then. It got me thinking God has shown me soo much since then, I have grown closer to him, and I am proud to say that I am still on fire for God. Continually each day he is showing me more people to pray for and how to be a greater light for him. So here's alil update on my life....
I am a Freshman in high school now. I now attend Rogersville Baptist Temple Independent Baptist Church. It is a wondrous church filled with loving people. I truly believe God sent us to that church. Through the church God has helped my family and me soo much. I once again have a church family that i love like my own family. I have a youth group that loves me and my brother, and are on fire for God. God has truly blessed.
God recently gave me a promise and I feel the need to share it with you.....I was singing in the choir one Sunday night and I got to thinking" God I feel like Job....You took it all away." Then God said" Hey Morgan read the ending chapter of Job.....He had everything restored ten times more....I'm going to do that for you. " When I herd that I just about had a shouting fit! He promised me that a while back and since then he allowed my father to get right with him...but he has lost his desire for the things of God and you need to continue to pray for him. Anyway if you ever get to feeling like Job read the last chapter.:)
One thing that I have been praying for is before the year is over that God would let me lead someone to Christ. God has opened the door in this young woman on my bus. She is a year older than me. One day she asked me why I wear skirts all the time. I told her God told me to....she didn't understand, so I told her it was a separation issue. Then she started pouring out all these questions.....a.k.a. word vomit :) I did my best to answer most of her inquiries but I don't think they helped her much. Just be praying that I'll have discernment about what God would have me to say and do in that situation.
Well that's all for now...look for more posts very soon love ya:)
